If a learner wants to continue his/her studies following the expiration of the registration period he/she will be liable to pay the full fee for the online BIFM qualification again.
4. REGISTRATION PERIOD
The learner registration period is two years, which means a learner has two years in which to complete his/her studies to achieve a BIFM qualification. The registration period begins on the day the learner is emailed the activation details and NOT when the learner activates the qualification.
Learners’ assignments are marked by a team of experienced practitioners who are qualified assessors. BIFM qualifications are not graded – the result is either ‘Achieved’ or ‘Not Achieved’. If an assignment is marked as ‘Not Achieved’ the learner will have the opportunity to resubmit his/her answer on two other occasions.
A learner may appeal against an assessment decision. An appeal must be lodged in writing to the BIFM within 14 days of receipt of the results. BIFM cannot accept applications for appeals after this time. BIFM cannot be held responsible for any correspondence that is lost in transit.
A charge of £25 + VAT per appeal is payable and will be refunded in full should the appeal be upheld.
BIFM will acknowledge receipt of an appeal within two working days and aims to advise the outcome of an appeal within 4 weeks.
Qualification certificates will be issued following the successful completion of the requisite number of credits for the chosen qualification.
Please note that the name entered on the application form will be the name printed on the certificate. If any changes are required after the certificate has been issued an administration charge of £25 + VAT may apply.
